We've been busy during these first six weeks of library - not just reading great stories and talking about what we've read, but exploring these books in more creative ways as well. See what we've been up to by watching the video! This past week, Ms. Bery asked 4th graders to design their own libraries. Before students began working on their blueprints, we spent some time collaboratively brainstorming some ideas using a website called Linoit - Ms. Bery is really impressed by what students came up with and is now thinking of how to incorporate some of their suggestions into the library. Check out what they had to say!
In honor of fall and Halloween, this week in 1st and 2nd grade we're reading Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds. In this delightfully dark tale, a rabbit finds himself outwitted by some very clever, very creepy carrots. After reading the story, students made their very own creepy carrots!
