This database has primary source documents relating to nearly every aspect of United States history, starting in 1639.

Although most of the resources in this database are from Great Britain, there are also thousands of items from America. The types of resources included are books, pamphlets, essays, broadsides and more.

Search through three different databases that cover material starting as early as 1639. You can look at primary source materials, books, pamphlets and broadsides that relate to every aspect of American life.

America's Historical Newspapers (1690-1922)
Use this database to search over 1,000 historical newspapers starting in the 18th century.

American State Papers (1789 to 1838)his
Most of the publications in this database relate to the first 14 Congresses (1789-1817).

American Song
American Song allows you to listen to songs from throughout American history, including the Revolutionary War period.

Britannica Annals of American History
Annals of American History delivers more than 2,000 primary source documents and 700 multimedia elements that guide you through the history of the United States.

National Geographic Virtual Library
Using this database, you can easily search through all the multimedia and print content of the National Geographic Society, which often does great articles on historic events or discoveries.
