This is a pathfinder, a page that is designed to help you through your research process. You can use this page as a starting point to help direct your research.

1. Finding Resources

The Dewey Decimal System is a way of organizing non-fiction books in the library. Books are grouped first by broad topic (100s), then by more specific topics (10s).

There is also a separate section for BIOGRAPHIES. These are identified by B/BIO and the first three letters of the PERSON's last name (so a biography of George Washington would be found under B WAS).

This is a map of our library. The non-fiction sections are in the orange squares.

Alexandria is our library catalog. It tells you a book's status (in or out) and its CALL NUMBER. Non-fiction is organized by number and then in alphabetical order by the first three letters of the author's last name.
